Police operatives in Adamawa State have arrested two teenage boys for allegedly receiving a stolen tricycle.
The Adamawa State Police Command said in a statement obtained Thursday that it has also recovered the stolen tricycle.
“On the 28th of May 2024, the Adamawa Police Command received information about a stolen tricycle along Chochi Street, Rumde, Yola North,” the Command said in a statement signed by its image maker, SP Suleiman Nguroje.
“Upon receiving the information, a police surveillance team attached to Jimeta Divisional Headquarters were promptly deployed. Luckily, one Yusuf Adamu, 18 Years and Abdul Salam Abubakar, 18 years were arrested while trying to sell the tricycle,” the police added.
The Police explained that the tricycle was stolen by one yet to be arrested suspect and received by the suspects at hand.
“One Mohammed Sani was traced to be the owner of the stolen tricycle,” Nguroje stated, adding that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, commended the timely information from the public that helped in the arrest if the suspects and recovery of the tricycle
