Police arrest six suspects as APC chieftain goes missing in Osun

The Osun State Police Command announced the arrest of eight suspects in connection with the attack on a missing All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Alli Kazeem, in the state’s Apomu, Isokan Local Government Area, Charmingpro reports 

Kazeem, the chairman of the National Union of Road Workers (NURTW), was reportedly kidnapped by his assailants around 9:50 p.m. Saturday after being macheted.

SP Yemisi Opalola, Public Relations Officer of the Osun Police Command, confirmed the suspects’ arrest.

According to Opalola, the chairman of the NURTW was abducted from his motor park in Apomu by an unknown person in a Toyota Corolla with registration number APM 203 AA and taken to the Oke-Afa area, where he was macheted and taken away by the assailants.

“It was also learned that the assailants arrived in an unregistered black Toyota Corolla car,” Opalola said.

“While a tactical team, local hunters, and natives are working to search the surrounding bush for the victim, eight suspects have been arrested in connection with the case.”
