Paystack Suspends Co-Founder Ezra Olubi Amid Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Paystack, the Stripe-owned Nigerian fintech giant, has suspended its co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Ezra Olubi, following a sexual misconduct allegation and more.

The move comes as a series of decade-old tweets attributed to Olubi resurfaced online, containing sexualised comments about inappropriate contact with a co-worker and remarks involving minors and animals.

Olubi has not issued any public statement regarding the allegations and has since deactivated his X (Twitter) account.

In a statement to TechCabal, Paystack confirmed that it has opened a formal investigation into the matter but declined to offer further details, citing the sensitivity of the situation.
