Pascal Gabriel Dozie, the founder of defunct Nigerian bank, Diamond Bank PLC and former chairman of MTN Nigeria passed away.
According to a statement issued by the family on Tuesday, the business tycoon died on Monday at the age of 85, after a brief illness.
Born on the 9th of April 1939 to the family of Charles Dozie, a Catholic Catechist, the consummate businessman got his early education from Our Lady’s School Emekuku, Holy Ghost Juniorate Seminary and Holy Ghost College, Owerri, Imo State, where he obtained his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
He then journeyed to the United Kingdom, where he got his B.Sc. Economics from the London School of Economics.
He also studied Operational Research and Industrial Engineering, before getting a Master’s degree in Administrative Science from City University in London.
Dozie is survived by a Wife, Chinyere and 5 Children.
