Oppression - Nigerians react as Police invites El-rufai and other ADC chieftains

The Kaduna state police command has summoned the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, alongside key members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna.

In a letter dated September 4, the police command said El-Rufai and the party chieftains were invited for questioning over alleged criminal conspiracy, incitement of public disturbance, mischief, and causing grievous hurt.

The letter reads

“This Department is currently investigating the above mentioned case involving the following members of your party. You are requested to come along with them to SCID to clarify allegations reported against them by the complainants on 8th September, 2025.

Mal. Nasir El-Rufa’i, Bashir Sa’idu, Jafaru Sani, Ubaidullah Mohammed, aka 30, Nasiru Maikano, Aminu Abita, and Ahmed Rufa’i Hussaini, aka Mikiya.”

Reacting to this report, one thechoice9ja wrote, “This politicians don’t learn. If you govern with impunity. Be ready to take same impunity after leaving power/office. Now that’s why politicians will kill to remain in power as long as the electorate don’t know the power is actually in their hands.”

cczaro wrote, “For all I know elrufai is not above the and if he is found wanting he should face the full wrath of the law. Heavens will not fall. If he doesn’t honour the invitation then police should do the needful!”

Maijjiddah wrote, “What kind of oppression is this? It means by 2026 anybody that even mention tinubu name go be arrested and will disappear till after election”
