Pa Ayo Adebanjo, leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group Afenifere, has endorsed Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, Charmingpro reports.
Adebanjo stated on Yoruba Gbode, an online radio show, that only Peter Obi can rule independently among the current crop of presidential candidates.
The Afenifere leader also accused All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate Bola Tinubu of selling Buhari to Nigerians in 2015 for selfish reasons, adding that he “will only give continuity to Buhari’s incompetence.”
He stated;
“Only Peter Obi is capable of ruling independently without the influence of these criminals in government.” Tinubu will only prolong Buhari’s incompetence.
“We know Peter Obi well, which is why we endorsed him.” He will not let Nigerians down; let us put tribal differences aside and elect the right leader.
“Tinubu sold Buhari to over 200 million Nigerians for his own selfish desire to succeed Buhari.” None of them care about Nigeria.
“Easterners are Nigerians as well, and they deserve to rule.”
