Ghanaian content creator Kwadwo Sheldon has taken a swipe at Nigeria following the Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a video circulating online, Sheldon mocked Nigeria’s economic and infrastructural challenges, questioning how a country battling unstable electricity supply hoped to feature on the world’s biggest football stage.
“You don’t have electricity, you want to go to the World Cup. How would your citizens watch you?” he said, taking a direct jab at the Nigerian squad and the country’s power situation.
The comment has sparked a fresh wave of cross-border banter, with some Nigerians firing back, while others admit the team’s performance left little room for defence.
