Nigerians were warned about Buhari – Former Ambassador, Farounbi

Yemi Farounbi, a former Nigerian Ambassador to the Philippines, has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari is God’s punishment for Nigeria, Charmingpro reports

Farounbi, a veteran broadcast journalist, also stated that he is not surprised that this is happening because Nigerians were warned about President Buhari’s past during the 2014/2015 presidential campaign.

Farounbi, who made these revelations while appearing on a live weekly radio show in Ibadan, explained that the president’s imprisonment of politicians was one of the wounds inflicted by the president while he was a military Head of State.

“In 2014/2015, when we were campaigning, when Nigerians decided to accept the campaign of one chance, they were warned of Muhammadu Buhari’s history and how he imprisoned many politicians, including Chief Obafemi Awolowo,” he says.

God is an amazing being. He chose Buhari as a means of punishing Nigerians for their evil deeds, and Nigerians deserve these punishments.”

While stating his optimism that Nigeria will improve, he accused corrupt politicians of not wanting to see a better Nigeria.

Ambassador Farounbi, on the other hand, believes Buhari can still redeem himself as Nigeria’s best president if he sincerely restructures the country into six geographical zones.

This, he claims, will help the country’s economy and political space.
