Former Naira Marley signee, Mohbad has reportedly died.

The shocking news was shared on Twitter by popular music critic, Joey Akan.

Mohbad, whose real name is Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter from Lagos. He was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” and left the label in 2022.

His most well-known songs are Ponmo, Feel Good, and KPK (Ko Por Ke) alongside Rexxie, all of which received three nominations for The Headies awards in 2022.

He followed up his popular song “Ponmo,” which featured Naira Marley and Lil Kesh, with his debut album, Light EP, which was released in the fourth quarter of 2020. MohBad received five nominations for The Beatz Awards in 2021.

He was one of the top 21 afrobeat performers of 2021, according to Audiomack.[5] In 2022, he issued Peace, which Rexxie created.[6] He reached the top 50 of the TurnTable charts in 2021 and the top 100 in 2022.
