A young couple kidnapped in Edo State has cried out for help after their abductors threatened to kill them if a ransom of N50 million is not paid.
In a distressing video circulating online, the husband pleaded for urgent intervention, saying his pregnant wife was being threatened with sexual violence by the kidnappers. He begged both the public and authorities to intervene before they are harmed.
The couple was reportedly abducted along one of the state’s troubled routes, where several kidnapping incidents have been recorded in recent months. Their captors have allegedly warned that failure to meet the ransom demand would result in severe consequences.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, but the video has sparked widespread outrage, with many Nigerians calling for immediate action from security agencies to rescue the victims.
