The organisers of the Miss Afikpo 2026 pageant have officially unveiled the crown for the forthcoming edition, setting the tone for a competition rooted in culture, leadership and service.

Unveiled as more than a decorative piece, the 2026 crown reflects Afikpo’s long-standing belief that beauty is defined by strength, character and legacy rather than glamour alone. Organisers explained that the crown was intentionally crafted to return to tradition, symbolising responsibility and purposeful leadership.

Adorned with over 200 carefully placed blue bead stones, the crown represents wisdom, truth, calm leadership and Afikpo’s deep cultural identity. Each bead, they noted, was designed with meaning, reinforcing the idea that the crown is a call to service rather than a symbol for display.

According to the organisers, while previous queens upheld the honour of the title with pride, the 2026 edition seeks a new kind of queen — one who is bold, grounded and ready to actively serve as an ambassador of Afikpo.

The crown reveal also signalled the countdown to the grand finale of Miss Afikpo 2026, scheduled to hold on January 1, 2026, at Davito Lounge, Afikpo, Ebonyi State. The event will feature a red carpet reception from 4:30pm, followed by the main event at 6:00pm.

Attendance to the event is free for regular guests, while VIP access is priced at ₦30,000, and couples’ tickets are available for ₦10,000.

Organisers described the pageant as more than a competition, calling it a platform through which Afikpo chooses a cultural ambassador who embodies heritage, leadership and destiny.
