Heavily armed men, in their numbers, stormed Maigari village in Rimin Gado Local Government of Kano State on Sunday and shot dead the village head, Alhaji Dahiru Abba.

The gunmen, according to an eyewitness, rode on motorcycles.

A family source confirmed to newsmen that the gunmen did not take anything from the victim’s house.

The village head is also said to be the father of the present Chairman of Rimin Gado Council, Barrister Munir Dahiru Maigari.

Efforts to reach the Kano State PPRO, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa were not successful as of the time of filing this report
