FA Cup: ‘The rest is history’ – Klopp reflects on 4-3 loss to Man Utd

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has reflected on their 4-3 defeat at Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday.

The Reds were minutes away from qualifying on two occasions, only for United to score two equalisers.

Amad Diallo then netted a last-minute winner in extra time at Old Trafford.

The loss kills off Klopp’s hopes of winning a Quadruple in his last season at Anfield.

“We could have won the game and we would have deserved it. But United deserved it as well.

“At 2-1 up we had so many chances to kill the game. Last pass not right, or in a rush in some moments. The rest is already history, if you want.

“The longer the game goes, the decision-making does not get any better. Congratulations to United, going to the semi-final, we have a game less, or have two games less, and we try to use that in the next few weeks,” Klopp told ITV
