Ezike Joseph and Favour David Crowned Mr & Miss Afikpo 2026 as Over 600 Guests Grace Event

The Mr & Miss Afikpo 2026 pageant was held in grand style on 1st January, 2026, at Davito Lounge, Afikpo, attracting over 600 guests from within and outside Ebonyi State.

At the end of the highly competitive event, Mr. Ezike Joseph, who represented Amangballa Community, emerged as Mr Afikpo 2026, while Miss Favour David, representing Kpogrikpo Community, was crowned Miss Afikpo 2026.

In the female category, Miss Marvelous Joseph of Enohia Community was named 1st Runner-Up and crowned Miss Afikpo Heritage, while Miss Chukwu Favour, who represented Amaizu Community, emerged as 2nd Runner-Up and was crowned Miss Afikpo Ambassador.

For the male category, Mr. Uduma Raphael, representing Ozizza Community, finished as runner-up and received the dual titles of Mr Afikpo Heritage and Mr Afikpo Ambassador. He will go on to represent Afikpo at the upcoming Mr Ebonyi South competition.

Several contestants also received special awards during the night. Miss Agboti Vivian of Ukpa Community won Best in Cultural/Creative Attire and Miss Congeniality, while Miss Idam Precious of Amangballa Community emerged winner of the Aphantee Challenge. Miss Ama Esther of Unwana Community won the Teebankz Xchanges Task, Miss Marvelous Joseph claimed Best in Evening Gown, and Miss Favour David was awarded Miss Photogenic.

The well-attended event was sponsored by Teebankz Xchanges, a leading digital exchange platform, whose support contributed significantly to the success of the 2026 edition.

Organisers described the event as more than a beauty contest, noting that Mr & Miss Afikpo remains a platform for celebrating culture, leadership, and youth empowerment. The impressive turnout and corporate backing further underline the growing relevance of the pageant on the regional stage.
