Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate the church led by Pastor Chris Okafor, renewing allegations she has previously made against the clergyman.
Ogala made the call during a recent interview, where she claimed that security agencies should conduct a thorough examination of the church premises, including sensitive areas such as the altar and pulpit. According to her, there are unresolved issues surrounding the church that deserve official scrutiny.
She referenced an incident that allegedly occurred during the construction of the church, when part of the structure reportedly collapsed and led to the death of an individual. Ogala claimed that the circumstances surrounding the incident were never fully addressed.
The actress further alleged that a blogger later came across something unusual at the site, adding that Pastor Okafor allegedly reached out to the individual to seek advice on how to handle the matter. She argued that these developments raise serious concerns that, in her view, justify the involvement of security authorities.
While Ogala insisted that a detailed investigation of the church property would uncover information she believes has been concealed, she did not provide specific evidence to support her claims.
As of the time of filing this report, Pastor Chris Okafor and his church have not publicly responded to the allegations.
