Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has reportedly been taken into police custody, with the incident unfolding live during an online interview session.
The arrest came midway into a livestream conversation with an online interviewer. During the broadcast, the interviewer sought clarification, asking, “The police are in your house?” Ogala confirmed the situation, responding, “Yes, the police are in my house.”
Shortly after, the actress was heard scolding someone she identified as “Charity,” accusing the person of allowing visitors into her home against her instructions. As the situation escalated, the interviewer asked whether the officers had presented an arrest warrant and advised Ogala to keep her phone switched on and remain connected to the livestream.
News of the development was also shared by comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Dee One, who announced the arrest on Instagram. In his post, he wrote, “Doris Ogala has just been arrested. I tried to warn her; the allegations did not add up. Now she will have to defend her story in court. Everywhere good, my people.”
Attempts to reach Ogala for comments after the incident were unsuccessful, as calls to her phone did not connect and messages sent via WhatsApp were not delivered at the time of filing this report. Efforts to get further clarification from Dee One also yielded no response, with calls unanswered and messages yet to be acknowledged.
The reported arrest follows Ogala’s recent social media activity in which she posted, and later deleted, content allegedly showing a man identified as Okafor in a private setting. In the caption accompanying the now-deleted post, the actress accused him of deceit and claimed to have video evidence to support her allegations.
As of the time of publication, the police have not issued an official statement regarding the circumstances surrounding Ogala’s arrest or the specific allegations involved.
