Nigerian actress Dayo Amusa has opened up following recent rumors about her HIV status by sharing her updated test results on Instagram.
The controversy arose after content creator Olaoluwa Segun released a video naming Amusa among five Nigerian actors allegedly living with HIV.
To set the record straight, Amusa posted her HIV-negative result dated 15th September 2025. She used the post to encourage everyone to get tested and know their status, emphasizing that early testing allows for timely treatment, prevents transmission, improves health outcomes, provides peace of mind, and helps reduce stigma and discrimination.

She explained that her decision to forgive was influenced by learning about Segun’s recent loss of his mother and her interaction with his relatives. Segun later expressed gratitude for Amusa’s forgiveness, acknowledging the seriousness of his actions.
