Southampton beat Leeds United 1-0 in the Championship playoff final on Sunday to win promotion to the Premier League.

Adam Armstrong’s composed finish in the first half proved to be the decisive goal.

It is an immediate return to the English top-flight for the Saints, who suffered relegation last season.

They join Leicester City and Ipswich Town as the three teams that will go up.

Southampton will now have a £140 million revenue increase over the next three seasons.

This could rise to over £305 million if they avoid relegation in their first season back in the Premier League, as per Deloitte
