Former Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima has been named as the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) presidential running mate for 2023, Charmingpro reports
Shettima was unveiled on Wednesday at an event in Abuja.
Bashir Ahmad, President Muhammadu Buhari’s former Personal Assistant on New Media, revealed this in a tweet.
“Our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), announces Senator Kashim Shettima as our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he tweeted.
Following his election as the party’s presidential candidate, APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu chose Shettima as his running mate.
Tinubu’s choice of Shettima has sparked outrage across Nigeria.
Most Nigerians expected the APC presidential candidate to choose a Christian as his running mate, but he instead chose a Northern Muslim.
