The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested 1465 suspects, recorded 724 cases, between January – December, 2022.
Briefing journalists in Bauchi Police Headquarters to show the world achievements recorded in 2022, Spokesman of the command, SP Ahmed Wakili noted that the command recorded 81 cases of Culpable Homicide, and arrested 184 suspects for various cases.
According to him, 90 cases of Armed Robbery, 209 suspects were arrested, 19 cases of Attempted Murder, 41 suspects were also arrested in connection with the cases.
He added that 106 cases of rape were recorded while 129 suspects were arrested in connection with the cases.
He also said 60 cases of Kidnapping were recorded, just 157 suspects were arrested in connection with the cases.
The Spokesman said 13 cases of Unnatural Offence were recorded while 15 suspects were arrested in connection with the cases, adding that 27 cases of Grievous Hurt were recorded and 63 suspects were arrested in connection with the cases.
He said 7 cases of Forgery were recorded leading to the arrest of 9 suspects in connection with the cases, adding that 8 cases of stolen property were recorded to which 17 suspects were arrested in connection with the cases, adding 11 cases of Unlawful possession was recorded leading to the arrest105 suspects were arrested
