Ayra Starr becomes first Nigerian woman to hit 1 billion views on YouTube

Popular Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr has hit a new milestone, as she has been named the first Nigerian woman to hit one billion followers on YouTube.

This new achievement is another feather to her cap, as the “Rush” singer is known for shattering records.

Amongst these achievements include her being on the list of the top most followed African Artists on Spotify. The singer has 4.8 Million followers on the streaming platform.

The 22-year-old Afrobeat singer and self titled Sabi girl has gained both local and international recognition since her debut in 2021.

Her Grammy nominated track ‘Rush’ has amassed over 450 million views, adding to her popularity and global reach.
