Atiku challenges Tinubu to one hour TV interview

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate, has challenged his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to grant at least one hour of television time before responding to his comments on Charmingpro.

According to the Charmingpro, Atiku, the former vice president, berated Tinubu for picking a fellow Muslim, former Borno State governor Kashim Shettima, as his running mate.

When Tinubu lobbied to be Atiku’s running mate in 2007, they were separated by the same faith ticket, according to Atiku.

Tinubu’s Campaign Organisation, on the other hand, said in a statement on Saturday that the PDP presidential candidate lied and was unprepared for the job of president.

Tinubu examined six areas in his statement. In his interview, Atiku lied, claiming that, contrary to Atiku’s claim, it was the PDP candidate who wanted him to be his running mate.

In response to Tinubu’s outburst, Atiku said in a statement issued Saturday by its Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, that he was amused to read the Tinubu Campaign Organisation’s knee-jerk response, challenging the APC candidate to grant the same interview.

The former Vice President stated that he was not surprised by Tinubu’s response because, for obvious reasons, he has not sat down for a lengthy interview.
