APC presidential primary: Delegates who collected money regretting now — Amaechi

Rotimi Amaechi, the immediate past Minister of Transportation, has stated that those who voted in the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primary regret their decision  Charmingpro reports

Delegates who allowed money to influence their decisions during the presidential primary are now regretting it, according to Amaechi.

Over the weekend in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the former APC presidential candidate spoke at the 60th birthday celebration of Apostle Eugene Ogu, General Overseer of Abundant Life Evangel Mission.

He stated that slinging money around in order to gain votes would not solve Nigeria’s problems.

Amaechi also urged men of God to pray for ordinary Nigerians in order for them to elect a President capable of solving the country’s problems.

“Those who voted in the APC primaries, who are they?” Amaechi asks. They are regular Nigerians. The small sum of money they received solved their immediate problem; however, they now claim they made a mistake, and you are hearing conflicting reports.

“If you are praying for us, please pray for the country’s leadership, but also for ordinary Nigerians to be able to choose the right President to govern the country.”

“Giving money will not solve Nigeria’s problem.” The only way to solve Nigeria’s problem is for all of you to rise.”

Amaechi was defeated in the APC presidential primaries in Abuja by the party’s flagbearer, Bola Tinubu.

The former Rivers State governor finished second to Tinubu, who received the most votes.

According to reports, the APC presidential primary was marred by vote-buying.
