King Charles III

King Charles III was today crowned the 62nd King of The United Kingdom & Northern Ireland and 14 other Realms, the 40th to take place at Westminster Abbey since 1066 and first in the UK for 70 years.

In a Ceremony conducted by The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Selby at the Westminster Abbey and attended by Monarchs, Presidents, Heads of State and Dignitaries from All over the World; the Archbishop placed the St. Edward’s Crown on the King’s head. The Crown which was made for King Charles II and only worn when the Monarch is crowned, would not be worn again.

After the King was Crowned his wife Camilla was also crowned Queen.

During his Coronation, King Charles was proclaimed ‘Undoubted King’ ordained by God and the Congregation asked to show their allegiance by showing their Homage and Service by shouting ‘God Save the King’.

The Ceremony showcased Diversity and Inclusion, with Contributions from members of other Faiths (Muslim, Jews, Buddhist, Sikh etc) and was Graced by All Members of the Royal Family.

Gun Salutes was made to herald the Reign of the New King at 13 locations across the UK, including London and Edinburgh.

The Epitome of the moment was when Prince William (Crown Prince) swore allegiance to his father King Charles III and kissed him on his cheek.

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Selby led the Congregation in Praying for God’s Guidance, Wisdom, Understanding and Protection for King Charles III and a Peaceful and Progressive reign.

The King and Queen after the Coronation then led the largest Military Procession (19 Military Bands, 250 Horses, 4000 Armed Forces Personnel and 33 Commonwealth Countries Representatives) on a 1.42Miles Journey back to Buckingham Palace; where the Working Royals and Coronation Party appeared on the Balcony to acknowledge the Crowd and Inspect the Royal Flypast.
