Hollywood Actor Commits Suicide After Argument With Wife

Jeff Johnson, a former reptile salesman who appeared on season one of Tiger King, died by himself at the age of 58.

According to People, Johnson shot himself in front of his wife in their garage after an altercation on September 8, citing the Oklahoma City Police Department and incident report, Dailymail writes.

According to the event report, Johnson’s wife dialed 911 right away, and when police arrived, her husband still had a pulse. When he arrived at the hospital, he was pronounced dead.

According to authorities, the couple’s children were present at the time of the event. Johnson was not known to have any mental disorders, according to the police. Johnson was seen discussing Carole Baskin on the fourth episode of the hit Netflix series.

His death came just days after Tiger King host Erik Cowie was discovered dead as a result of binge drinking.
The reality star, who was discovered dead on September 3 in a friend’s Brooklyn apartment, died naturally as a result of acute and chronic alcohol usage, according to officials from the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner.
Authorities discovered Cowie face down with a vodka bottle nearby, according to TMZ.

Tiger King premiered in March 2020, just as the world was preparing to go into lockdown mode in reaction to the coronavirus pandemic. According to the network, it received 64 million household viewers in its debut month and was nominated for six prime-time Emmy awards, according to the company.

Much of the series has focused on a dispute between Baskin and Joseph Maldonado-Passage aka Joe Exotic over the treatment of tigers, lions and other big cats at an Oklahoma zoo he formerly operated.

Maldonado-Passage is imprisoned after he was convicted of attempting to hire someone to kill Baskin, a tale told in the initial series.
