The Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has sent a message of support and goodwill to the organisers and participants of the AfroEuropa Gala & Awards Night 2026.
In her goodwill message, Dabiri-Erewa expressed her support for the event and its efforts to bring together members of the African and European communities to celebrate achievements, leadership, humanitarian service and cultural connections.
The message from the NiDCOM chief added an important dimension to the 2026 AfroEuropa celebration, which brought together distinguished personalities, community leaders, public officials and members of the Nigerian and wider African diaspora in the United Kingdom.
The AfroEuropa Gala & Awards Night was held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at The City Pavilion, Collier Road, Romford, United Kingdom.
The event, convened by Maureen Keke Layokun, featured awards recognising outstanding contributions in areas including humanitarian service and leadership, alongside entertainment, networking and cultural celebration.
Dabiri-Erewa’s message underscores the significance of platforms that celebrate the contributions and achievements of Nigerians and Africans in the diaspora.
