Actress Sarah Martins Hospitalised After Collapsing from Extreme Exhaustion

Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has been hospitalised after slumping due to extreme exhaustion, following weeks of intense work without rest.

The actress disclosed the incident via her Instagram page, explaining that she woke up feeling unusually numb on the day it happened. Despite this, she proceeded to her store where she was handling inventory and attending interviews. She later collapsed while at work.

According to Sarah Martins, she had worked every single day throughout December without taking a break, even when her staff travelled for the holidays. She admitted that she pushed herself beyond healthy limits, ignoring her body’s warning signs.

She revealed that doctors carried out over 32 medical tests, all of which returned negative results. Medical professionals reportedly confirmed that the collapse was caused by extreme physical and mental exhaustion, and she was advised to undergo complete bed rest.

Sarah Martins said she is currently responding to treatment and recovering in the hospital. She expressed gratitude that none of her vital organs were affected and thanked God for sparing her life.

Her experience has sparked conversations online about burnout, overworking, and the dangers of ignoring rest—especially in high-pressure industries where “no days off” is often worn as a badge of honour.

The actress is expected to take time off to fully recover.
