The Ooni of Ife, Ọba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his wife, Queen Ashley Afolashade, are in a joyous mood as they celebrate their son, Prince Ademakinwa, on his first birthday.
Taking to Instagram, the Ooni described his son as a blessing to both him and the sacred throne of Oduduwa.
“As you continue to grow in wisdom, strength and grace, always remember the divine heritage you carry as a prince of Ile-Ife,” the monarch wrote in a heartfelt note.
Queen Ashley also penned an emotional tribute, calling her son their “beloved SONshine” and thanking God for a smooth journey from pregnancy to birth.
She further praised her husband for being a caring father and supportive partner, recalling how he stayed connected with her even during her time in the theatre.
“Our son, may you continue to grow in wisdom, strength, and grace, and may your life shine brighter with each passing year. You are deeply loved,” she added.
