Nigerian actress, Bimbo Akintola, has alleged that 90 to 99 percent of men cheat.
During a podcast interview with Ayo Adesanya, Akintola said that “90 to 99% of men cheat by default,” attributing this behavior to the country’s cultural upbringing and polygamous traditions.
She argued that infidelity is a generational pattern, with many men following in their fathers’ footsteps.
Akintola advised women to be realistic about men’s behavior, suggesting that they often live in denial about the prevalence of cheating.
Using Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s relationship as an example, she noted that even high-profile couples can navigate infidelity, challenging women to rethink their expectations.
Akintola said: “The majority of our men cheat. Your father cheated, sir. Sorry, I’m sorry. Your grandfather did. Polygamy, polygamy. Yes, my father has two wives,”
“I don’t know where this idea of fidelity came from in Africa. The reality is 90% of our men cheat, it’s ingrained in them. Some even grew up following their fathers to see girlfriends.”
“You leave one man because he cheated, you go to another, the same problem. Jay Z cheated on Beyoncé. Did she leave? No. So please, let’s talk about the reality we are facing,”
