The police in Ogun State on Wednesday paraded 24 suspects for alleged involvement in cultism, armed robbery and terrorism.

Some of the suspects admitted to being members of the Eiye, Vikings and Aiye confraternities.

The suspected cultists were picked up at various locations in Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode, Igbesa and Agosasa.

Parading the suspects, Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said their arrest was in response to the recent upsurge in cult killings across the state.

Oyeyemi disclosed that the police had launched a clampdown on those behind the violent cult clashes which left five persons dead across Ogun
