A former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani has explained why there is an ongoing war between the All Progressives Congress, APC, and President Muhammadu Buhari.

Some members of the All Progressives Congress have recently publicly rejected some of Buhari’s policies such as the Naira redesign and withdrawal limits.

Sani, who represented Kaduna central district at the 8th National Assembly, explained that while Buhari wants to leave behind a legacy where money does not influence who becomes Nigeria’s next president, the APC leaders think that his record in Office cannot deliver them to victory.

He noted that for this reason, they are holding on to vote-buying because they believe that without the massive use of money, which Buhari’s policies are blocking they cannot win the election.

It was reported that Governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai had while featuring on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme on Wednesday, said some persons within the presidency who wanted a candidate other than Tinubu to emerge as the APC presidential candidate are working against him (Tinubu)

Shehu Sani wrote on Twitter, “President Buhari wants to leave behind a legacy where money doesn’t influence who becomes Nigeria’s next president.

“The Ruling party leaders think that his record in office can’t deliver them to victory without the massive use of money
