Tonto Dikeh was elected as the African Democratic Congress’s deputy governorship candidate in Rivers State (ADC).

It was previously reported that Tonye Ibraye, the ADC governorship candidate, confirmed the thespian as his running mate in a statement posted on Instagram on Friday.

“I have never failed in leadership,” Miss Dikeh says on Sunday’s Channels Television Politics Today.

Further, the actress stated that “the time has come for the youths to take over leadership.”

She stated that she has paid her dues in terms of youth social work.

When asked if she thinks the ADC has a chance in Rivers State, she said, “There’s always a chance for everything.”

“Rivers is not a PDP state,” the actress-turned-politician claims. The citizens, not the PDP, govern the state. We must convey the correct message to the people of Rivers State.
