2023: Northern Christians won’t vote for Atiku – Okechukwu

Mr. Osita Okechukwu, a founding member of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), has stated that Northern Christians will not vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the 2023 general elections, Charmingpro reports

This was stated by the Enugu State APC chieftain while answering journalists’ questions in Abuja on Sunday.

In response to Northern Christians’ outrage over the APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket, Okechukwu, the Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), said he shares their anguish over identity politics and fears, but knows that in the end, contrary to spin doctors’ predictions, they will not vote for the former Vice President.

He promised that whatever marginalization Northern Christians face today would end if the APC’s standard bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is elected President in 2023.

“Our first slogan in the APC is change,” he said. Our catchphrase is “change.” We will never remain static. Whatever isn’t working will be changed. All we ask is that Nigerians give us another eight years as you did to our sister political party, the PDP.”
