The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has denied reports that its General Overseer, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, and the church have endorsed Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, Charmingpro reports
On social media, it was reported that Pastor Lazarus was rooting for Peter Obi.
However, the Church’s Public Relations Director, Pastor Louis Chidi, stated that neither the church nor its General Overseer made a statement in support or opposition to a political party.
“Our attention has been drawn to publications on some social media platforms attributed to our General Overseer, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, that were intended to portray him and the Church, the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, as politically inclined with sympathy for a specific political party and its aspirant.”
“We wish to state unequivocally that neither our General Overseer nor the Church has ever made any political statement in support of, or in opposition to, any person or party, and we have no reason to be involved in politics.”
“As a result, we wish to state unequivocally that such publication or viewpoint does not come from our General Overseer.” Rather, the enemy has done so (according to Matthew 13:24-30),” it said.
