The 3rd AFROEUROPA GALA NIGHT ceremony, Themed – ‘Synergy: A Natural Law’, presented by Charming Production Limited, Publishers of Charming Magazine, took place on Saturday, 28th September 2024, at the Oasis Banqueting Suites, Barking, London.
The very glitzy and attractive ceremony popular for its attraction and gathering of the crème de la crème of the society under one roof, with the aim of celebrating Diversity and promoting peaceful and cordial coexistence within the society was streamed Live by Charming Production, and enjoyed extensive coverage by other media outlets, including the NTA News, GidiTV, and Heritage TV.
The grand ceremony was compered by two of UK’s finest Masters of Ceremony, the Multi-Award-winning MC and Events Specialist – Lady Doyin Ola; and the Renowned and versatile Multi-Award-winning Comedian and Master of Ceremony, MC Mark.
During the gala, Awards in three categories were presented to the following well deserving members of the community for their selflessness and good works in the Society – Barrister Jenny Okafor (Leadership Award), Terhas Hagos (Award For Impactful Service), and Dr. Abbey Akinoshun (Star Award for Philanthropic Service).
There was never a dull moment throughout the night, with the legendary DJ Omo Whyte reeling out great sounds from his deck, a ceaseless flow of cocktails, mocktails and exotic wines, and an array of delicacies – grouped under Traditional and Modern Menus, which left guests spoilt for choice.
Among the side attractions of the night was a powerful speech on Synergy, by the Inspirational High-impact Speaker & Author, Mr. Charles Khiran, followed by Kite Uhomouibi of Kited Fashion UK, who wowed the guests with an impressive display of her designs showcased by Models from different backgrounds.
There were song and dance performances by Psalmist Queen and Katie B; and a showcase of rich diverse cultural displays by Warmis Ecuador Group, and the Oduduwa Talking Drummers led by the legendary Ayan De First. Also, lucky guests with the winning raffle draw numbers left the venue with valuable prizes, including a 65’ inch and 55’ inch Smart TV Sets, Microwave, Air Fryer, Deluxe Grill etc.
With its unrivalled style of glamour and sophistication, this year’s event, another glittering effort by the Convener – Maureen Charming Layokun, at underscoring the importance of Respect, Unity and Collaboration amongst diverse ethnicities and citizens, was another resounding success. According to reviews from Institutions and distinguished guests, AFROEUROPA GALA NIGHT has improved in leaps and bounds and maintained its formidable position as one of the very best of all networking and gala events in the BAME community in the United Kingdom.
