The pledge was made in separate addresses on Tuesday in Abuja by the NLC and the TUC.
Mr Ayuba Wabba, President of the NLC, stated during the 10th Memorial Lecture in honor of late Pascal Bafya that the NLC is solidly behind Obi and will mobilize to ensure the Labour Party’s victory in the 2023 general elections.
He stated that labor must fully engage in politics and work hard to support candidates whose platform will improve the lives of their members and Nigerians in general.
Mr Quadri Olaleye, President of the TUC, on the other hand, stated that “Obi is a face among the presidential candidates that all labor unions are pleased with and ready to work with.”
Olaleye stated that the entire labor movement has accepted, adopted, and will support Obi in the upcoming presidential elections in 2023.
“The Labour Party is stronger, more united, and more formidable, and the party has a widespread structure, as there is a worker and a member of either the TUC or the NLC in every Nigerian family.”
