A woman has sparked debate online after sharing what she described as a disturbing experience during her time in China.
In a video posted to social media, she addressed Black women living in the country, criticizing those she claims are involved in prostitution and arguing that such actions may contribute to harmful stereotypes.
According to her, the incident happened last year when she was out in public and a man allegedly approached her and bluntly asked, “How much?” She said the comment left her shocked and offended.
The woman suggested that the encounter may have been influenced by assumptions tied to the perception that some foreign women in the country engage in sex work. Her remarks have since generated mixed reactions online, with some users agreeing that stereotypes can have real-world consequences, while others argued that it is unfair to generalize or place blame on an entire group.
The video continues to circulate as conversations unfold about stereotypes, personal experiences abroad, and the broader issue of discrimination.
