Police in Abia State have arrested Edward Okorie, an indigene of Isiugwu, Ohafia, for allegedly k+lling his girlfriend, Sophy Chika, a nurse from Ozu Abam, Arochukwu LGA.
The tragic incident occurred on Monday, February 23, 2026, in Okagwe village, Ohafia, where the couple had been living together for over three years. Sources in the community say a domestic argument escalated, leading to the nurse being b+aten to d+ath.
The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Umuahia has taken over the case for a thorough investigation.
