Bandits Abduct Boy and Six Teenage Girls in FCT Community

Suspected bandits have kidnapped a 16-year-old boy and six young girls in Gidan-Bijimi, a community in Kawu ward of the Bwari Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The attackers, reportedly armed with AK-47 rifles, invaded two houses around 9:47 p.m., taking six girls aged 17 to 23 and the teenage boy.

Sources said the victims had traveled to the community to attend a funeral before the armed men struck.

Gidan-Bijimi lies close to Marke village, on the boundary between the FCT and Kaduna State—an area that has witnessed repeated security breaches in recent months.

Local residents have called for urgent intervention from security agencies as fear and tension continue to rise in the affected communities.
