A 100-level Mass Communication student of Taraba State University, Comfort Jimtop Oliver, has been found dead at her boyfriend’s residence in Jalingo
Her lifeless body was discovered on Friday, September 12, 2025, inside a room in the Bakasi area of Jalingo, near Dr. Rapha’s quarters, opposite the Vice-Chancellor’s gate.
Comfort, who hailed from Takum Local Government Area and belonged to the Kuteb ethnic group, reportedly passed under unclear circumstances.
Police confirmed that investigations have begun to determine the cause of her death. A senior officer involved in the case revealed that several empty bottles of hard drinks were found beside the bed.
“By the time the matter was reported to our station located at the university gate, nobody was found in the house which has over 15 tenants. The owner of the room, believed to be the deceased’s boyfriend, was also missing and is currently at large,” the officer disclosed.
He added that investigations are ongoing.
