Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has threatened to prosecute anyone associated with former Peoples Democratic Party National Chairman Prince Uche Secondus, Charmingpro reports
Secondus is a close ally of PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Wike made the threat on Saturday during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of internal roads in Omagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State.
The governor insisted that anyone who pitches his tent with “enemies of the state” will be “finished.”
“If anyone fights our system, we will fight back,” he said.
“Let me tell you something about politics that you don’t understand. When you claim to be working with us and then switch to our enemy, we will take every force we have, even abandoning our enemy to finish you first.
“So, all of you who are returning to Abuja to meet with our enemies in the state, I’m going to finish you off.”
“We removed a National Party Chairman who was underperforming.” They were all here, we all agreed, and now they are going to Abuja to meet with the man we removed, thinking you will use that to fight us, and we will crush them.”
Wike led the campaign to depose PDP National Chairman Uche Secondus in 2021.
