Despite numerous challenges, Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has stated that the country remains one of the most welcoming in the world, Charmingpro reports.
Speaking on Thursday, July 14, at the graduation ceremony of the senior course 44 of the armed forces command and staff college in Jaji, Kaduna, Buhari said that despite challenges, Nigeria remains one of the most welcoming countries to visit or stay in, and he encouraged officers to work hard to improve security.
According to Garba Shehu, the presidential spokesman, Buhari stated;
“We will use all elements of our national power to ensure security, a just society, peaceful coexistence, national unity, and long-term development while promoting our international standing,” he said.
“The Armed Forces of Nigeria’s response to the Boko Haram insurgency, banditry, militancy, kidnapping, and the activities of separatists and armed militias, among other things, has been commendable.”
“This government will continue to provide the necessary guidance and support to ensure the desired outcomes.” The West African sub-region, as well as our beloved African continent, are not immune to these threats.
